How to migrate legacy threads?
On March 23, 2026, a comprehensive update was released for the Quote Negotiation Agent. All negotiations created before this date are still based on the previous architecture and are marked with a Legacy tag. To continue using the full range of features, these negotiations must be migrated to the new standard.
The migration is straightforward, takes only a few seconds, and automatically carries over the entire context of your existing negotiation — including all quotes, emails, and negotiation levers.
How Do I Recognize Legacy Negotiations?
On your Agent Home Page, affected negotiations display an orange Legacy badge next to the negotiation title. Any negotiation without this badge is already on the current standard.

How Does the Migration Work?
-
Open a negotiation that has the Legacy badge.
-
A system dialog appears automatically, asking whether you would like to update the negotiation to the new standard.
-
Confirm by clicking "Update Thread".
-
The agent carries over the full context — all quotes, communication, negotiation levers, and existing results — and restructures the negotiation into the new architecture.
-
Once the migration is complete, the Legacy badge disappears. The negotiation keeps its existing ID and URL.

What Improves After Migration?
Migrated negotiations benefit from all improvements introduced in the March 23, 2026 update, including:
-
Category-specific analysis based on spend category (e.g., Direct Materials, CAPEX, Software)
-
Configurable tables with calculated fields for automatic quote comparison
Migration should always lead to better results, as the new architecture enables the agent to perform deeper and more structured analysis.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will I lose any data during migration?
No. The entire context of your negotiation is fully carried over.
Can I undo the migration?
The migration cannot be reversed, as the new structure replaces the previous standard. In practice, there is no need to revert — the new architecture exclusively brings improvements.
Do I have to migrate all negotiations immediately?
No, you can still open and view Legacy negotiations. However, for full functionality we recommend migrating as soon as possible.
